Espada Y Daga Training Drill This is a training drill to develop reaction time and to train correct body mechanics and counters off of a secondary attack. Advanced Glute And Hip Flexor Exercise

It is so important to train your hips and glutes. Together they form the base for the entire torso. You wouldn't build a castle on sand and we shouldn't expect to build a body on top of weak, unstable, or uneven hips. In this video, I show advanced, intermediate, and beginner exercises to strengthen your hips. #cqcacademy #hipmobility #tightness #pigeonpose #stiffhips #yoga #mobility #martialar...
How To Land Hook Kicks

Hook kicks can be an amazingly effective kick to add to your arsenal. However, a lot of fighters don't use them because they are too difficult or they don't know how to set them up. In the video, I will show you an easy hook kick setup using a crescent kick. #cqcacademy #selfdefense #martialarts #kickboxing #kicking #tkd #headkick #mma #mmatraining #michiganmartialarts #annarbor #detroit

We all like a little humor but seriously, learning self-defense is an investment in yourself and your future. It gives us some tools in the toolbox. It gives us a fighting chance. Self-defense doesn't make us invincible or bulletproof. Don't be fooled into trying a move like this. Instead, learn to prevent this kind of scenario from happening #cqcacademy #selfdefense #training #martialarts #saf...

You better be fast.
You re gonna have a bad time if the opponent decides to throw a right hook instead of a cross.
We would just cover that without left hand. This is a training sequence to teach how the techniques could be used. If the opponent moves differently we respond differently.
Wow. Did you make this up or is this well known? I never peeped this one. #great
This is well known. its Huge in Gymnastics and calisthenics. So if you have never seen this before Try it you will like it.
I didn't make this up. I learned this progression from my martial arts and yoga training. I have also seen other creators use this as well.
Exactly
Holy ish at that thumbnail. #gangster
Thank you
Snake, try to remember the basics of CQC
What do you mean
@@Cqcacademy a reference to a video game
@AchiIshmael oh you mean solid snake from metal gear
@@Cqcacademy naked snake, but yes

kills my knees just watching! keep up the teaching, training and thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching
In my experience if done correctly these silat exercises strengthen the knees and hips while promoting increased flexibility, blood flow, and range of motion.
Use hockey tape cheap and grippy. Also catches flesh when used in defense.
Sweep your leg all the way through, curling up your big toe even makes a better throw...
Two white belts
Yes he is.
How long should a joe staff be?
The traditional Japanese Jo Staff is between 50 to 56 inches. It was designed to be longer than a katana which is about 40 inches. However, for my purposes, I classify jo to be between 36 to 50 inches. My full Staff is 5 to 6 feet
Always good stuff from this channel
Thanks what would like to see more of
It's been so long since I've done any proper yoga, that I feel uncertain wether I'm doing it correctly as I do some of the postures... I'm gonna try out this routine, probably tonight, or soon... and add it to my movement practise (martial arts, calisthenics, bit of parkour, bit of animal crawling and cartwheeling and such). :) By the way, it's cool to see you're still sharing content.... keep up the positive training for your self, and keep on sharing it offline and online :)
It's good to hear from you. I'm eager to hear how you like the routine and thank you for the kind words
your steel moving while grinding is a recipe for disaster, if it walks enough while you're cutting it can cause side tension on your wheel and cause it to shatter spinning at 9k plus rpm.. very dangerous
This was the first time I ever tried to make a knife lol. Since they I have learned a lot and got better. I have also upgraded my tools. So i dont use an angle grinder to cut out shapes any longer.
@@Cqcacademy Nice I'll have to watch those videos, just figured ide throw it out there cause angle grinder disc failures can be disfiguring and even potentially deadly
@@storablesurvival8868 thanks I appreciate it. You can watch my blade making pictures and videos on Instagram @bit_blades and on UA-cam youtube.com/@bitbladestrainingweapons5768
Nice one ever
Thank you
Which lineage of Ilustrisimo is this?
My training comes from the lineage of Romeo Macapacal and directly from Arnold Naroz and Peachie Baron Sanguin.
@@Cqcacademy can you share who your teacher was in Mang Romy’s lineage?
That was good until the end when she was doing a takedown. i don't think so.
Tha elbow is tha most deadliest blow to be hit with
Very nice!!!
This was really helpful, and beautiful to watch. Thank you so much.
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Excellent job! Student is really good about keeping his hands up and bringing them immediately back to his chin after punching.
Thank You
Great video
🙏
Good video, what your talking about with getting off to the side or rear of your attacker is good advice, I call that entering and consider it an important principle in self defense.

love the work
Thank you I hope this helps you.
Very good stuff brother. Considering you've got the protective gear, it'd be cool to watch a staff sprring video at some point, if you got gear for your partner as well, or just go very light. But nice practical sequence :)
Thank you
Thanks buddy & friend's who inspired the basic system silat cheers everyone. 😀😇🤗🙏
You are welcome
Great hand techniques, 52 blocks can be used with other martial arts.
Yes it can. I find the Filipino dirty boxing and 52 Blocks goes well together as we as silat.
Great work, guys!
Thank you
Great work Fellow 52 fighters 👏 💪 🙌
Very effective elbow techniques similar to the techniques of panantukan in Kali. If you're fast this will do wonders. Much respect to 52 blocks.
We on the rise
I’m sorry if you leaning on your first shot and try to hit the guys hand with your elbow you’re looking to get clobbered by his job. That’s a ridiculous shot to lean with especially if you’re leaning in like that.
I really appreciate this. Wanted to connect back to my silat training and so this is excellent. Super strength can be built from these exercises, good sweep warm up and core power for all round momentum and power.
Thank you 🙏🏾 I am happy to help. What style did you use to study?
@@Cqcacademy I trained Harimau under a student of the legendary Richard De Bordes. I trained in silat for 2-3 years. I’ve also trained in Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ. Nothing compares to the conditioning of silat. Keep up the good work sir
Yes!! Thank you!! More please!!!!

Thanks! What did you like most?
@@Cqcacademy the simplicity yet fluidity, of the block. Some might not notice how well the footwork and all the other elements flow together. Feels like a science, yet practical. Economy of motion!

Nice... she drops her hand a bit when punching, which is also something I do sometimes in sparring in spite of my experience, but she's doing good and has a good teacher. At 0:16 I notice she could even lift her left leg up and jump for that roational right leg roundhouse kick to turn into a more powerful tornado kick... or she could land sooner in the rotation with a spinning hook kick with that right leg. Good stuff :)
Thank you for this 🙏
@Lally 88 You're welcome. What did this help you the most with? Are you trying to learn Satria Fighting Arts or yoga?
@@Cqcacademy hi, yes I’m currently learning Satria fighting arts in the U.K, as I have just begun the journey it really helpful to see the postures and transitions in a slow controlled way. Thank you sir 🙏
Looks good.
Thanks
Thnks brother we love Silat
Right on Silat is a wonderful family of martial arts with so much color and character, I love it!!!
